Meet LaKishia
LaKishia M. Collins is the dynamic force behind LMCimpact. She was born and raised in Buffalo, New York, with a meaningful season of life spent in Atlanta, Georgia. A woman of many gifts, LaKishia is a devoted wife and a nurturing mother to five remarkable children, each of whom inspires her passion for service and community leadership.
Her educational journey reflects a deep commitment to lifelong learning. She studied business management, psychology, and early childhood education, which shaped her unique blend of organizational skill and compassionate insight. She holds certifications in Family Peer Advocacy, couponing, life coaching, relationship coaching, and has also earned a grant class certificate, strengthening her ability to support families, nonprofits, and community initiatives with excellence and strategic care.
LaKishia is also an author and a game creator. Her most recent creation is a transformative mother and daughter healing game designed to bridge relationships, restore communication, and promote emotional growth within families. This work reflects her heart for connection and her belief that every family can experience healing and unity.
Her influence reaches far beyond her personal accomplishments. LaKishia is deeply rooted in service within her church and wider community. She serves on several boards, including African American Cultural Center, PeacePrints of WNY, God’s Tabernacle of Praise MCHCA, Taking It to the Streets Inc., the Erie County Youth Advisory Board, and the Girl Scouts of Western New York as a Board Member at Large. She also holds leadership roles with the Minister's Wives and Widows of Buffalo and Vicinity as President, and LMCimpact Inc. as Founder and President.
From childhood, LaKishia felt a strong call to serve, uplift, and minister to the needs of others. Her mission is expressed through her guiding statement, “Ministering to the Whole Man, One Soul at a Time.” She brings this mission to life through innovative approaches, compassionate leadership, and a deep belief in personal transformation. LaKishia blends education, lived experience, faith, and research to help individuals rediscover their strength and walk in purpose.
